Editor's Note:
Starting as an aeromodelling enthusiast, Andrea gradually got in touch with lasers and finally became an expert in laser engraving. His journey highlights the evolution from early laser machines to finding the ideal one, with AtomStack at the heart of his laser adventures.
The Beginning
My history with lasers was literally born for fun, I am a dynamic aeromodelling enthusiast, I have participated in several aerobatics competitions and I have designed and then built each plane by hand.
I therefore decided to get my first laser (aufero laser 2 with 5watt module) in order to be more precise in the construction and repeatability of the components.
From the first moment I turned it on I knew I was going to have a lot of fun.
I never built an airplane again....but endless other things!
Early Laser Creations
I started with small and simple objects (key rings, small magnets), even starting to sell something to businesses in my city.
Then I had an Ortur laser master 2 5watt module and then upgraded to the 10watt, laser master 3 Ortur 10 watt with which I discovered the world of engravings: on tile, on canvas, on stone, on glass, on leather, on all types of wood..... on anything that came my way! I began to have the first requests to engrave photographs and the first successes.
The Search for Speed and Precision
Since that moment I have always looked for a laser that would allow me to engrave better and better and, if possible, even faster.
After getting a couple of unsatisfactory lasers, I bought my first Atomastack: Atomstack maker A10 V2 10-12W, cheap but with enormous potential: the robust and well-built structure, manual z-axis as standard, x-axis with linear axis and a spotlight size of 0.06x0.06. I must say that I was very satisfied with the only flaw: it was very "slow" in engraving.
The Perfect Match: AtomStack A12 Pro
And then he arrived, the one I love most, ATOMSTACK A12 pro: a bomb!!
The cutting capacity is definitely superior to my previous 10watt lasers and it is as fast and precise as I have ever seen; For this reason I had more than one discussion in different groups and forums because the various experts did not believe my data and my tests. It has proven to be exceptional on any material such as paper, tiles, plastic materials etc..
I must recognize Atomstack's after-sales customer service which is worth as much as the cost of the laser itself: I had a technical failure (which can always happen) and I had all the technical support in the official Facebook group as well as material support with the replacement of various components until the problem is definitively resolved!
I'm sure the next one will be Atomstack again!!
