How to Deal with Bad Positioning?

How to Deal with Bad Positioning?

1. Check if the score value is too high during calibration:

  • The score value should be within 0.6 during calibration; otherwise, it will affect the calibration accuracy.
  • If the score value is high, ensure that the base plate is covered with white paper and the calibration pattern card is flat.
  • If the indoor lighting is too bright, turn off the lights.

2. Check if laser is correctly focused:

The captured object thickness exceeds the plane upper surface which well calibrated already by more than 3mm, recalibration is needed.

3. Recalibrate the camera:

  • The circles pattern cards and kraft paperboard must be flat
  • Turn off auto exposure and auto brightness in lens calibration
turn off auto exposure and auto brightness

  • When using camera in LightBurn, it is necessary to set start from absolute coordinat so that LightBurn matches it accurately
  • It is recommended to clean the camera lens regularly according to the frequency of use to avoid dirt adhesion and loss of clarity
  • During the camera calibration process, the kraft paper must be fixed on the bed and must not be moved.
