1. Check if the laser was correctly focused. The height from the object to the nozzle should be 8mm

2. Check if the parameter settings are correct:

  • Refer to our recommended material settings table, use the recommended parameter values respectively.
  • If the material is not within our recommended range, conduct a material test array to obtain the ideal settings.

3. Please confirm whether the air pump function is enabled in the software if the cut is not complete.

4. Check if the lens is dirty. When the lens is very dirty, it can affect the laser's output power and optical quality, thereby deteriorating engraving and cutting performance.

Please follow the lens cleaning instructions in the machine's maintenance manual to clean the lens properly.

5. Calibrate the optical path. When the optical path is misaligned, the laser engraving or cutting performance will noticeably decline. Please follow the tutorial video below to calibrate the optical path.

6. Check the material. Some materials are not recommended for cutting, such as glass, ceramics, and metals. Materials with dense textures or those that exceed the recommended maximum thickness in the parameter table are more challenging to engrave or cut with a laser.

To achieve better results, consider setting a higher power or using materials with lower density.

7. Check the laser tube power. The power of a CO2 laser tube decreases over time. You can try to improve cutting performance through setting as below: increase the power, reduce the speed, or increase the number of passes. If the power drops significantly, please replace the laser tube.
