From Sublimation to Lasers
It was 30 years ago in August 1994 when I started my personalization business out of the garage of my home in New York. At that time, we were doing sublimation in which we were making T-shirts, keychains, coffee, mugs, and a variety of other products. In the year 2000 we took a step further and got involved in DTF and white toner printing. But I still wasn’t happy and knew that there had to be something more in the personalization business that I could offer my customers. it took many years so it wasn’t until approximately 2019 I started looking at lasers.
We pride ourselves in the fact that not only did we offer personalization services, but we also got involved in the selling of machines and blanks to help others start a business just like I did and teach them at the same time. I came across the company that manufactured CO2 lasers, in this case, it was flux lasers. I was very happy using these lasers in our shop and offering customers something unique and different when it came to personalization.
Discovering the Ideal Laser: AtomStack A24 Pro
Two years ago, we started looking into diode lasers and the first one we purchased was an xTool 10w. I was happy with it, but it still wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I continue doing research as I always do when I’m looking at a new product learning the pros and cons when I came across AtomStack. I purchased the A24 Pro and for the very first time I was excited!
When I received this laser, I was completely impressed with the fact that it was already assembled, and all I had to do was hook up the laser head and the air assist and that was it I found the A24 pro to be the most versatile laser I had ever worked with, and was amazed at the efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance of this particular laser.
I then proceeded in purchasing a second one for my shop and have found myself converting over 90% of our jobs from the CO2 lasers to these lasers.
The Revolutionary Change Brought by Atomstack
For the past year these lasers have been nothing, but superb not only in quality and build, but in performance. Like anything else mechanical we truly believe in maintaining the machines by lubricating the rails, cleaning the lenses once a week, and just keeping the laser working at peak performance. With the addition of Lightburn and our Imaging software, we have been able to create beautiful pieces of workmanship ranging from wood to acrylic to slate to metal, etc.. And our customers have been astounded at their finished product.
I am personally going to tell you right now that I am proud to be working with AtomStack and personally vouch for the quality of these lasers. I look forward to working with this brand for many years to come and truthfully have no interest in using a different laser if not made by this manufacturer.
